The Villa Océane has been conceived to welcome someone in a wheelchair
Part of this accommodation being ancient (17th century), its layout could not comply with all the criteria of the label "Tourism & Handicap". However we have done our utmost to facilitate the welcome of people with reduced mobility. Wheelchair access for someone who is accompanied by a valid person is therefore possible.
From the parking to the entrance of the villa
Walkway18 meters long between the parking lot and the terrace of the villa,1m20 width, flat stones flooring with a slope of 5%. The villa is surrounded by a wooden terrace (less than 1 cm away from the blades) and a paved path of flat stones.
The exterior of the villa contains no steps or overtones larger than 2 cm.
The internal path
The villa is entirely on the ground floor. Wheelchair access is provided by a sliding glass door, equipped with a stirrup handle and lock. Inside, the passage from one room to another has overtones either.
Passage width: Between the bedroom and the living room 105 cm; Between the bedroom and the dressing room 85 cm; Between the dressing room and the bathroom 85 cm; Between the dressing room and the toilet 90 cm.
The bathroom
Basin height: 85cm. (No empty space for armchair under the basin). The shower design "Italian style", without any overhang, is on the floor of the bathroom. Interior dimensions of the shower: 1m50 x 2m.
Single lever mixer, non thermostatic.
Suspended toilet height 45cm.The toilet area is 1m90 x 1m03. The seat space next to the toilet is 1m x 1m03.
The toilets
Height of worktop: 90cm. No empty space for armchair below the worktop. The use of the kitchen requires the presence of a valid person.
The Kitchen
Amenities
Outlet height: 40cm from floor. Switch height 1m30.
Door handles: In addition to the access through the bay window of the living room, there is only one door inside the villa: that of the toilets, with an extended handle and a rotating lock.
The two movable bulkheads between the chamber and the living room operate with a vertical caliper handle at a height of 1m10.
Spa and pool: Access to the spa is facilitated by its recess (40cm height) and an armchair location against the spa.
