At what time shall we arrive and leave ?
The time from which your accommodation is ready is indicated on your contract.
In case of weekly rentals from Saturday to Saturday: Your arrival is usually from 4 pm. Departure before 10 am, so to let us enough time to prepare the apartment for the next visitors.
How’s the reception going?
You are welcomed by the owners themselves, who live there. A very comprehensive and detailed book explains the operation of all devices and fittings in your accommodation and a lot of information about the surroundings. During your reception and throughout your stay we are here for any advices and suggestions of activities and we willingly ensure a real concierge service to assist you.
Do we have to bring our sheets or linen ?
Sheets and linen are provided, including bath towels for the bathroom and linen for the kitchen, and renewed once a week if your stays is longer than a week.
For your own clothes we also put at your disposal a laundry with washing machine (products provided), dryer, table & iron, airer in linen.
Do i find everything to cook in the kitchen ?
The fittings in your kitchen are new and very complete, like at home. You don’t have anything to bring with you.
Do you make breakfast ?
No, unlike the bed and breakfast, the gîte formula does not include breakfasts. However we provide Nespresso coffee at will, and a bakery that is 5 minutes from our place produces excellent bread and croissants.
In the village of Quissac (5 minutes by car) you will find any shops: groceries, supermarkets, banks, post office, doctors, and even a huge pharmacy knowned to be the cheapest of France.
There are also many shops in the nearby medieval town of Sommières (10 minutes by car).
How far are the nearest shops and supermarkets ?
How about restaurants ?
We're lucky we can propose a number of very good restaurants in the villages around (from 5 to 15 minutes away), some of wich have an excellent value for money. Our favorits are L’Artysan in Quissac, le Comptoir de l'Evesque in Sauve, le Patio in Sommières.. and it would be our pleasure to book the best table for you in one of them. There are also several Michelin stars restaurants 20 to 45 minutes away.
Where do i park my car ?
You will have a private parking lot inside the property.
On request, you can have an access to a locked garage, for your car, motorbike, or trailer.
How can i recharge my electric car ?
We put 2 fast charging stations at your disposal (11 kW). All-vehicle compatible, socket type 2.
The first charging is offered for free.
Are animals allowed ?
Pets are not allowed, and we are very sorry about that towards pets owners: At the end of our first year of activity
we took the decision not to accept animals any more.
How about internet ?
Free wifi connexion, available inside your apartment or on your private terrace, or nearby the swimming-pool. Our satellite Internet equipment (Starlink) provide a speed of 200 MB unlimited.
Is there an apartment that is accessible to people with mobility difficulties?
The apartments “Suite Margot” and “Rêve d’Evan” are on the ground floor (2 steps to access it), but they do not allow the use of a wheelchair.

There are many walking paths with nice views on the vineyards and hills all around the domaine, as well as many narrow and picturesque countryside routes. Please ask us for the detailed map.

Are there walking of cycling rides starting from your place ?
Are the jacuzzis in service all year round ?
Yes, and the water is renewed before each new rental and heated to 37°C.
Using a jacuzzi is even more pleasant in the winter time when the air temperature is lower.
How about the pool ?
The main swimming pool runs all year round, but it is not heated and is usually used from May to September. Large size: 11m x 5m, depth 1m50, it is reserved to our guests and the atmosphere is always very zen.
The private swimming pool of the Villa Océane is heated from April to October.
Do you speek english ?
Frederic speaks very fluent English while Richard can only say a few words.
Can we privatize the whole estate?
Yes as part of a stay (minimum 2 nights): Total capacity 14 persons/ 7 couples. Our place is not suitable for events such as weddings. It is ideal for a honeymoon.
Is Domaine de Monteils Gay friendly ?
Yes. LGBT people make up about 20% of our hosts. There is naturally a spirit of respect and openness, without any communitarianism, and we are very attached to making everyone feel perfectly at ease throughout their stay.
How do we find your place ?
It is quiet easy. Detailed directions will be sent to you with the confirmation of your booking.
The Domaine de Monteils is mentioned in most of the GPS systems. Enter “Carnas” for the town and “Monteils” for the street: The GPS will display “Domaine de Monteils” or “Lieu-dit Monteils”.
