Walking and hiking tours :
There are many marked trails through very spectacular sites. A topo guide with maps is at your disposal in your apartment.
Some examples :
- The Hérault canyon from St Guilhem to the Grotte des Demoiselles.
- The Languedoc sea side near Montpellier : superb walks around the ponds and the abbaye of Maguelone.
- The “Fort de Pécais” in Camargue starting from d'Aigues Mortes through ponds and salines.
- In the mountains le Mont Aigual and “les mille marches”, le Pic St Loup and the cliffs of the Hortus, the Cévennes corniche, the mountains and chestnut forests around Anduze.
- The “Cirque de Navacelles” starting from St Guilhem le Désert.
- Nearer from our place, “la mer des rochers” starting from Sauve, “le bois de Paris” starting from Carnas, and the cliffs of Lauret.
Cycling :
There are many cycling routes with low trafic between Montpellier and Nîmes. The Cévennes mountains offer magnificent views. The “voie verte”: ancient railway transformed into a cycle path between Sommières and Nîmes.
Starting from the Domaine de Monteils: trails along the Vidourle river towards Quissac, 8 km tour through the vineyards towards Sardan, 15 km tour to Corconne, 20 km tour across the hills via St Bauzille de Montmeil and Vacquières…

Canoe-kayak
10 minutes from the estate, a quiet descent of the Vidourle river between Sommières and Villetelle, pass along the cliffs of Sériès, admire the aquatic fauna.
Sportier and more spectacular: The Hérault canyon starting from Ganges or from St Guilhem le Désert. And the must: the Gardon river from Collias to the Pont du Gard.
Horse riding :
The most spectacular horseback rides: In the Camargue across the dunes and the deserted beach of the Espiguette (several ranch between Port Camargue and the Espiguette offer accompanied tours).
